Michaels Announces its Vendor and Carrier Partnership of the Year Awards
Retailer honors companies that supported innovation strategy.

IRVING, TX, September 02, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michaels Stores, Inc. hosted its 13th Annual CEO Summit in Dallas, Texas on September 1-2, 2010. In conjunction with the conference, the company announced its Vendor and Carrier Partnership of the Year Awards.

Vendors who were honored with this esteemed award included companies that have supported Michaels' 5-year strategy over the past year with inspiring and innovative products. In addition, these companies participated in the development of store class programs, private brand growth, exciting store displays and improvement in supply chain results. Each vendor was recognized for their individual contribution one of these important strategies that inspired the customer to purchase more of a particular line. One vendor was recognized for their contributions across all their subsidiaries and strategies and was named the 2010 Vendor Partner of the Year. This vendor was Halcraft USA.

Each year Michaels evaluates the service of its transportation providers through stakeholder surveys. Companies are evaluated on key criteria such as customer service at both the destination and origin along with corporate level performance. Companies that received this honor were:
